Create slogans for common items.

Act out the 'moods' of different colours.

Write down a list of simple words with letters missing. students work alone or in groups to be the first to decifer them all.

Students line up in alphabetical order. Reverse alphabetical order. Alphabetical to their middle names.

Arrange students into groups. Give them all one challenge, like "List five things that end with the letter R". Teams have to be quiet so that their ideas aren't overheard.

Divide the class into two teams. One student from a team is whispered the name of an animal, and they have to act/charade it out to their team, who have one minute to guess the animal. If they don't get it, the other team has a minute to guess.

Play hangman.

Write or produce a large paragraph of text. Students have to find all of the nouns/verbs/adjectives they can.
