You'll need a set of grapheme cards and a pile of objects, each object starting with a sound expressed by one of the grapheme cards. Sit the students in the circle and put the objects in the middle (not piled, but so each can be seen). The box of grapheme cards goes from student to student around the circle. The student holding the box takes out one card and says "I spy, with my little eye, something beginning with.." and makes the sound on the grapheme card. The student then finds the relevent object and puts it in front of them with the card, passing on the box.
Each student has a 3x1 grid, on which they place three grapheme cards - each card unique in the game. Have each student identify their chosen graphemes. Teacher holds up an item for the children to name and identify its starting sound. The child with the corresponding card claims the object and keeps it with their letter. If you feel the need to have a 'winner', the student with three objects first is the winner. But keep playing for the second, third etc
