If you can get your hands on an old-but-working typewriter, get students to type out their spelling words ten times using it. Alternatively, but less interestingly, you can use your classroom computers to achieve the same task.
Students spell out their words on the chalkboard/whiteboard using magnetic letters.

If you have a small chalkboard for each student, have them write their spelling words on that to provide a novelty value to repetition

Write a different spelling word on each student's palm. They then roam around trying to spell each other's words, reading their palms to check.
Students write their words using a different colour for each letter.
Pour a little bit of sand on to a plate or lid. Students practice spelling their words by tracing them in the sand.

Dip a Q-Tip in water and practise spelling the words on a chalkboard. The words will disappear, leaving the chalkboard clean!
Every time a student learns a new word, attach a new link to their personal 'chain' with the word written on it. As they progress, the chain will get longer and longer and at the end you have yourself a Christmas decoration.
