Spelling ActivitiesForm playdough into letters On a LARGE sheet of butcher paper, write all of the letters of the alphabet. In pairs, one student reads a word aloud while the other spells it out by stepping on the letters. ![]() Students write their words into graph paper, using 1 square per letter. Use this to figure out which word is the longest, which is the shortest, then use another sheet of graph paper to make a wordfind out of it all. Paint your spelling words five times each (in the art room!) Give each student a traditional blank 3x3 bingo card. Read out nine of the class spelling words, and let the students enter that word into any bingo cell of their choosing. Once completed, randomly go through the words until someone gets a bingo - in this form, 'bingo' involves making a straight line of hits, horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
